Tuesday, November 24, 2009    A very fortunate recovery underway!  I spent most of my time yesterday and today making post-doctor check-ups while Mom and Dad have filled in for Karen and me. I put in my first quarter of a mile walk today! I actually worked up a small sweat!  Commercial Flounder Fishermen are getting a chance to rejoice! NC-DMF has extended their season an extra 15 days. Sunday, November 22, 2009    Virginia Mullets made a fantastic showing over the weekend. Size range was reported 8 to 18 inches long. Surf fishermen were using Sand flees and Shrimp. Cooler weather today!     Stay tuned!     Gas prices, $2.57 - $2.65 and up. Tide table

Friday, November 20, 2009    I'm BACK with new knees!  Had a post-surgery drug reaction that has take more time to recoup than the actual knee replacements itself. Karen and I took our first walk out on Atlantic Avenue just to see what was going on. There were about dozen fishermen on the surf. Monday, November 9, 2009     Happy Birthday to Someone Special!!  A slow Sunday morning and afternoon for catching fish for three Rowan County fishermen. We are very  honored to learn Carolina Beach's, Island Tackle and Hardware's, daughter, Sgt. Tuesday - Thursday, November 5, 2009    Flounder are still taking the liking to our "Salt Mullets". One fisherman caught 3 big keepers yesterday on his new rod and reel combos. Bloodworms arrived today. These giant jumbo's made the 1,200* mile trip all the way from the cold marshes of Nova Scotia, Canada. Our supplier was out for about 4 days. Monday, November 2, 2009    Virginia Mullets 10 to 18 inches long, Black Drum 8 to  16 inches long and Bluefish 12 to 20 inches long were several fishermen catch over the weekend.
