Tuesday, April 24, 2007     No Fishing reports as dangerous dry weather continues. Yesterday, Karen and I saw smoke north of our shop. At first, I assumed the fire was in northern Carolina Beach. Going to deliver old shingles to the NHC Landfill I assumed the fire was on Masonboro Island or just west of the ICW in southern New Hanover County. When we got to Monkey Junction I assumed the fire was close to UNC-Wilmington. When we got to the New Hanover County Land Fill, the smoke was still north of us. Moral of this, story never assume smoke. Especially something this big!
